Cunniff Hockey is about tradition and coaching excellence for all age’s from Learn to Skate to Professional Leagues. The Cunniff family has been involved in the game of hockey as players and coaches at the highest level for the past 6 decades spanning back to 1957.

Owner & President David Cunniff ‘s unique Hockey Development style is known as the best in New England! This is David’s 20th year coaching Professional Hockey!

His Coaching debut started with the San Jose Sharks where he coached for 13 years!  He then went on to coach with the New Jersey Devils for a season before joining the Minnesota Wild where he serves as an Associate Head Coach in the AHL with Iowa Wild.  Coach spent 4 Seasons with the Wild before joining the New York Rangers Organization as an Assistant Coach with the Hartford WolfPack.

David is currently the G.M./Head Coach of the Worcester Railers. They are the proud affiliate of the NY Islanders & Bridgeport Soundtigers.

David played both defense and forward through high school and college. He then went on to play forward professionally for five seasons, including three-plus seasons in the N.J. Devils organization with the Albany River Rats (AHL) between 1997-2000. He appeared in 368 Professional games.

David’s passion is teaching the game of hockey! He has been teaching Summer Hockey Schools since his high school and college years as an Instructor.
His father John Cunniff (well known Professional Hockey Player & Coach, Olympic and World Cup Winner) Owned and operated Cunniff Hockey back in the late 70’s early 80’s.
